WHAT...THE...HECK?!
I'm over at Rambling's Journal, seeing what new stuff is up and I come across THIS entry and THIS article.
I have one thing to ask. What the HECK are Supreme Court Justices Anthony Kennedy, David H. Souter, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Stephen G. Breyer smoking?! Now my city or town can swipe my land (and both sides of my family have land that's been with them for generations) and put a MALL or a HOTEL there?!

Land of the Free....
The ruling is disgusting.
One of the things that has made America unique is our ability as citizens to own land/property.
Not to begin a conspiracy theory, but notice the ruling is left wide open with the use of the word property rather than, land or home, or dwelling (unless I missed it some where).
In other words, by using the word 'property' all things we own are potentialy at risk by someone who would abuse today's ruling.
If I owned a business, would this ruling not mean that the potential exists that my work related equipment could also be seized if the government decided for what ever reason that they could make use of it?
